  1. 5 stars!
We just got our angel baby this July, (July 2021), and we are thrilled. We got over 200 pictures of our little Piper, and over 20 videos. Sally was and still is always available for any questions we might have. Piper is healthy and happy, she came to us pee pad trained and sleeps through the night! We are so thrilled and couldn’t recommend Sally more! J. Clark, Fall Creek Oregon

  2. 5 Stars!
I just picked up my angel baby this past weekend (July 2021), and I couldn't be more pleased. Sally and her husband Steve have been just amazing people to work with over the last few months. They have both been very transparent and upfront with the entire process, from day one everything they promised was true. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of adopting a Maltese to speak with Sally and look at her website, loads of informative information. After bringing my puppy home Sally has stayed in contact daily to check on him and his progress. You won't find a more caring and professional breeder than Sally. Highly Recommend!!!

I loved the clarity and structure of the process we went through to bring our Angel Baby Maltese home. Sally is clearly a caring and ethical breeder putting the puppies first. They are like her children and I appreciate how she talks about them, handles them, as well as shares insights, photos and tips for being successful when they come home. I spent many hours on the phone with her over the 5 months between first contact and when we brought Kiki home, each time she educated me on things I would have never thought to ask but were important to know/remember when bringing a new puppy home. She is patient and answers all questions directly and honestly. When we picked up our puppy I couldn't help but notice how clean and calm the puppy nursery was, all the babies were happy and the mommas looked happy too. When we left it was a bit emotional as I felt so much appreciation for all that Sally did to ensure an excellent foundation for Kiki (hand feeding/weaning, grooming, removing dew claws, preparing home made puppy champagne, regular photos so we felt like we new our puppy before we ever met in person and ensuring Kiki was comfortable, clean and safe) . When we got home from the 4 hr car ride and put Kiki in her Disneyland she LOVED it and went right to sleep. I think familiarity with that environment is why she has slept through the night from day one and truly rarely whines when she is in there, it's her safe place. I wish we would have had a Disneyland for our other dog when we got him 14 years ago. In short, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her and I'm hoping in the next few years to get a brother for Kiki from Sally!

Zeus joined our family in August 2020 - smack in the middle of Covid and a host of personal challenges that made getting him from Steve and Sally's to his new home quite a feat. But, Sally did everything in her power to make it happen - and happen it did. We were worried about the 10-hour car ride he would have to endure, but it seems he was great. After he arrived, he was playful, not the least bit anxious, and simply adorable. He slept through the night in his Disneyland, happily ate his food, and was pee pad trained. We couldn't believe our luck - Sally had done everything right so that Zeus was a well-acclimated addition to our household.

Sally was there for us from the very beginning and I feel that I can still call her if I need anything. My mother does dog rescue on the East Coast and I've heard all the horror stories about unethical breeders and puppy mills, so when I was searching for a breeder I was extremely cautious. After reaching out to Sally, I knew that she and Steve were deeply committed to being not only ethical, but extremely hands-on. The questions I had to answer before she would even consider our family for one of her puppies showed me just how much she cares about her dogs and their puppies. Zeus is full of personality, and Sally saw that from early on - she used to call him "the little stinker" and give updates about what he was doing. All in all, a great experience. And just in case you think Disneyland might seem a bit over the top, it is a must for the transition process - Zeus loved it for quite some time, and even now there are times when he sits in front of it and asks to go in for a while.

Fast forward a year...he is super smart (learns tricks very fast and was fully potty trained by six months), extremely playful, sturdy and healthy, and is so much cuter than all the other Malteses we see around - seriously, I'm not just saying this because I am his mom. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience, and with Zeus.

If you are looking for the most darling Maltese babies, healthy, happy with lots of information for new parents-- this is your breeder! When we lost our beloved Fred, I did a lot of research and chose Angel Babies in Stayton, OR. to find the next love of our life. Their website was so comprehensive, the application process transparent and communication was excellent. I thought I was a "seasoned" dog owner, but I learned so much from Sally that made this adoption so much easier and stress free. Sally promised that my baby Cooper would sleep through the night and so could I. She was right about Cooper, but my husband and I were up several times to check on him--new parent anxiety!! (who would have guessed?) Sally's blog is packed with priceless information, tips and ideas. Sally's "Disneyland" is fantastic. I replicated it with all the results she promised. I recommend Sally (and her husband Steve--a great guy!) unconditionally!

  6. DISNEYLAND FOR YOUR BABY
To all of you future parents out there I can tell you with certainty that Sally's "Disneyland" is absolutely the best system we have used. We have owned (5) Maltese over the past 27 years so I have tried many methods of bringing baby home, introducing them to our family, potty training our babies, etc. With my latest baby Cassi, I followed Sally's formula as outlined in this article to the letter, and by far this has been the easiest baby we have ever raised in our home! Take advantage of Sally's expertise and it will make raising your new baby a breeze. We kept our Cassi on a table in our living room which is where we spend most of our leisure time so she could always see us and we could see her. She loves her house which has everything she needs to feel secure, and of course it is a playground that has everything she needs to entertain herself. We also found the "Disneyland" eliminated whining and crying when we went to bed. Just a simple "Good Night Cassi!" turn the lights off and she would play for a few minutes, eat, and then go right to sleep. This is her safe place and she loves having all of her many toys, bed, food, water, and of course the potty pad available to her as she need them. As mentioned in the article, a major thing that Sally does that no other breeder has done was to send you and your baby home with a blanket with Mom and siblings scent on it. This make a huge difference! Especially in the first few nights baby is in their new home. I put the blanket in Cassi's house as describe in the article, and she sniffed it and snuggled right in to take a nap. This gets rid of the usual separation anxiety the baby has when you first bring them home! Just a simple "good night Cassi!", turn off the lights, and she would play a few minutes, eat, and then go right to sleep without all of the whining and crying that usually happens when you first bring your baby home. Potty training your new baby is also much easier because baby is already trained to go on a potty pad in their house. When we took Cassi out to play and visit we put the pee pee pad on the floor and she automatically would go there to do her business! It was nothing short of amazing!
There are many more reasons "Disneyland" is far superior to anything I have used in raising my other babies, way to many to mention here. My advice, please don't try and re invent the wheel here. Sally has done all the research, trial and error for you and come up with a wonderful method. Build your baby a "Disneyland" of their own, you will be surprised at how much easier puppy rearing will be!

  7. Disneyland was KEY in a perfect transition to our home!—I second everything Joe has mentioned and am SO grateful Sally created this setup. One thing that seems obvious to some, but it didn’t occur to me right away…buy multiples of things! A few different mats and blankets, maybe a couple sets of toys…that way, if you have something in the laundry, your baby still has something fresh all ready to go. Set it up as *close as possible* to what you see at Sally’s place—this will only benefit the baby and you since the baby is already used to it! We’ve had to change up our “Disneyland” as our baby has gotten older, due to managing marking behavior that he started around six months, but he still loves “Disneyland” with his hanging toys and fun little surprises of goodies I’ll leave in there for him to find from time to time. I wish I had put a mirror in his Disneyland, it didn’t occur to me at the time…he loves mirrors (I think it’s because he’s admiring how handsome he is!) Also, setting up the barrier so the baby can’t jump out when you open the door is important…and it’s also good practice for you to teach the baby to “sit” patiently until he’s invited to come out…even if the door is open…it just helps you set off on the right food in creating a well-mannered baby for life :) The portable play-pen is *essential* if you’re outside or otherwise away from your main digs, like we are…I highly, highly recommend that!

  8. Larry and I have had RITZY for one week! She is PERFECT! We can't say enough about 'Disneyland'! Since our arrival home (very 1st night) we have used it! The transitions from Sally's (breeder) to our house has gone without a hitch. We have had NO issues of adjustment or frustration! NO accidents, barking, whining, etc! AND, Ritzy is using her pee-pee pads perfectly as Sally told us she would.
QUESTION? Have YOU thought about what you're going to do with with your new puppy when you bring it home? That is what Sally asked us... Where will you keep her? Or even as time passes by (1 year or longer)? Where will your puppy stay? Be safe? Go potty?, etc.? Especially when you're not home? (working or shopping)?
The answer is: DISNEYLAND! RITZY LOVES IT! We have one at home and one at our office! You can't play with them or hold them 24/7 (even though you would like to). They need a place where they feel safe and warm!
Our goal was to copy (as close as possible) Sally's Disneyland! We didn't want to bring our puppy home and the puppy to want to 'go back' to Sally's because her Disneyland was better! Seriously, It is a wonderful tool
that makes bringing a new puppy home wonderful for ALL!
THANK YOU SALLY for ALL your outstanding ideas and information you give to Angel Babies Parents. This has been one of our best experiences we have ever had! We are loving our new beautiful puppy, RITZY & we are forever friends!

  9. I met Sally just before she began weaning the litter before my puppy (I think?), and I had the privilege of talking with a couple of that litter’s parents over the phone as they kindly took the time to tell me about their experiences watching their own little Maltese Angle Baby grow. (Special thank you to those parents, whose names I won’t share for privacy sake: sharing your experiences really helped me.) Listening to them exude joy and happiness was heartwarming and enlightening—but you guys!!—Listening to someone else talk about their puppy is *nothing* like going through it yourself with YOUR puppy! My puppy is only two days old and already, I’ve got over 50 photos and a video that I’ve shared with my friends and family and I can’t stop looking at them! I’m probably legit-obsessed, looking at my handsome little puppy and studying his every feature (tiny little white eyelashes, who he’s cuddling with, the way he crawls)!

  10. Sally is a breeder above and apart from others. I personally have never heard of someone like her. Her Maltese Angels have a whole large separate room in her house that is totally devoted to them; just like Sally is. Their houses (kennels) are clean and full of toys. Each Angel is well fed, beautifully groomed and full of joyful self confidence. Having been allowed to meet the Moms and Dads, I was able to see first hand how much they love Sally and life. I was also able to see Angel Lila with her new babies. Lila and the babies are healthy and strong. Sally is a treasure trove of information regarding how to take care of Angel Babies and is delighted to share. I am confident that when I am able to bring a Maltese Angel Baby home, both the baby and I will be well prepared for the journey. Thank you so very much Sally!

  11. Disneyland for babies? It truly is. Sally thanks again for taking all of the guesswork out of what to do with baby when you get home. Out of the 5 Maltese puppies we have raised over the last 26 years, Disneyland is by far the best way I have used to raise and acclimate our new baby. Our baby Cassi will be a year old this month and she still loves her Disneyland home. Since she is potty trained Cassi has the run of the house now. So I put Disneyland on the floor for her and she still loves to go in there on her own to play, nap, or just lounge around. It's truly one of the happiest places on earth for our baby!
For all of you about to become parents of an Angel Baby, Disneyland will truly make a huge difference in your new babies happiness. Just follow the information above, or better yet call Sally...she has all the answers!

  12. We just finished our visit with Sally & Steve...
and our new puppy, RITZY! She just turned 2 weeks old today! Her eyes are not even opened yet. Our new little puppy is beyond description! So VERY TINY! We will pick her up and take her home in 5 weeks. Sally's Angel Babies are beyond one's imagination! We met ALL her puppies and they are truly the 'ULTIMATE' Maltese! Her puppies are even more beautiful and tiny in person! My husband and I have never seen more beautiful Maltese's! They have perfect temperaments, size looks, etc. Sally's home is perfect! In fact, beautiful! It's immaculate, clean and fresh! She has created an area just for her puppies! It is clean, professional and a fun area where her puppies an play and socialize. They are happy, playful, perfectly groomed & sociable! They are given and have the BEST of everything! AND...given lots of love too!
If you get the opportunity to have an Angel Baby Maltese you will not be disappointed! You will find no better Maltese or Breeder ANYWHERE!
Thank you Sally for such a wonderful experience with our new puppy! We will NEVER forget it or you and Steve and your warmth, hospitality and care you gave us while visiting you!
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!! We are so happy and grateful that we found YOU!

  13. OUR FIRST CONTACT...
with Sally and Maltese Angel Babies was in November 2018. We have had 2 Maltese puppies over the last 28 years. Our first Maltese lived 16+ years and our second 11+ years.
We will be bringing home our Maltese 'Angel Baby' on February 15, 2019... her name is RITZY!
In fact, this Thursday, January 10th we will meet our little puppy for the first time! We are traveling all the way from Wyoming to meet her! Sally has been outstanding! She is thorough, knowledgeable, professional, passionate and very personal and loves the Maltese Breed and her beautiful puppies!
We have been in almost daily contact since our first conversation. Even though we have owned 2 Maltese's, we feel we are learning so much and Sally is taking us to the net level in being prepared for when we bring our puppy, RITZY home! She truly wants it to be the BEST experience for us (the new parents) and the puppy! We even have our own personal file with multitudes of photos and videos of our puppy since birth. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience with Sally and her Maltese Angel Babies has been!
    Thank YOU Sally!

  14. Dear readers/future puppy parents: I have to HIGHLY recommend to you, to recreate the pens/kennels that Sally has in your own home for when you bring home your baby!!! We did that for our little one and he's had absolutely NO problems adjusting, waking up/crying at night or toileting in his kennel. Sally will send you home with a blanket that was used by mama and his litter mates...just dump that in the kennel and gently introduce your baby. If he's anything like ours, he will happily go in and enjoy exploring his new digs. Our baby slept through the night since day 1 and in the almost three weeks since we've had him, he's never had an issue sleeping through the night. I have many MANY things to thank Sally for, but this kennel set up is truly invaluable. -CD, Mapleton

  15. I wanted to update on my puppy experience so far: We’re just under three weeks from puppy-pick-up date and my experience so far has been unreal! I was able to meet my tiny little baby at the two-week mark…holding him for the first time sent me to cloud nine and I don’t think I’ve been off that cloud since lol! I was also able to meet both Cozy (whose beautiful expression just melts me) and Benji (who I’m smitten over) I’m so happy these two beautiful creatures are my puppy’s parents! The best way I can describe my experience so far is that I’m watching a long time dream come true before my eyes. I’ve wanted a Maltese for SO many years and Sally is sharing her blessings and talents and making my dream happen. I talk with her often and my puppy photo album is updated frequently so I can watch my puppy grow and learn about what he’s doing day to day! They grow so fast that it’s like every couple days when there’s a new group of pictures, it’s like I have a brand new puppy.

  16. I’m convinced that Disneyland was KEY in the perfect transition when we brought our little baby home! We copied Sally’s set up as close as possible, down to which side she had the potty pads on and which side she had the bed on. Our little baby went right in without hesitation and started happily playing immediately. (We have video to prove it!) We had to change things up once he started to reach sexual maturity (marking behavior)…but up until then, no potty mistakes at all: our baby knew right where to do his business each and every time from day one, hour one, in our home. In combination with the food Sally sends home and the blanket with the scent of his birth-mama and his litter mates, our transition was…I daresay…flawless! No crying or sleepless nights. We had an ongoing game of “find the baby”: it was so hard to see him among all the stuffed toys…he really loved to snuggle into them and I think they really helped him feel secure and safe…so go all the way…add *all* the toys and truly make a Disneyland for you baby…their second happiest place on earth (the first being at your side ;P)

  17. I’m THREE days away from picking up my new little pup: I met him, his mom and dad and the rest of the pack at two weeks (Benji is AMAZING!), my pup has been to the vet and I have around 500 pictures and videos of him! I CANNOT be more ecstatic! I want to give a BIG thank you to Sally, and Joe (posts above mine) for all their help! I’m a first time puppy owner and have needed *a lot* of guidance, everything from what supplies would be best to questions about health and grooming. Sally is *always* happy to answer my questions and help guide me…we talk multiple times a week! She’s always forthcoming with her knowledge and willing to help. And it’s wonderful because with her guidance, I’ve been able to set up a launching pad for me and my puppy’s life together. This is not the experience some of my friends and family have had with other breeders!!! I feel confident and READY to bring this tiny, precious little life into my home and give him the best care possible.

  18. Thank you for the visit! Everything in your home is just as clean and spotless as it appears in the photos. Was very impressed with all of the homes! A lot of thought and care went into to each kennel to make a perfect comfortable home for each puppy. Unlike the other (3) breeders I have used in the past. Even though they knew I was coming to their facility, they simply had their puppies in a naked kennel with newspapers (which were usually dirty) lining the floor. No toys, or food, just a water bowl which is not attached to the side of the kennel so it has been upturned and spilled by the little ones. The puppies are unkept and have not been groomed at all. Sally's babies (adults included) take a look at their homes! Everything is clean with pleasnty of toys for the babies to interact with. All of them are groomed, well fed, and more importantly its is obviously that they are loved and cherished by Sally and Steve. Joe and Ronna Bend Oregon

  19. I have had the most amazing journey thus far Sally in choosing you to buy my little boy from. I can't express the elation I felt when you choose me as well. I have so appreciated our phone conversations and getting to know you and the love and nurturing you put in to ensuring the quality and health of each puppy is outstanding! I was even more impressed, if that's possible, after visiting your home and meeting my little boy for the first time. I am absolutely in love! Per our several phone conversations I knew how devoted you are to each and every puppy but after meeting each of your own dogs in your home and seeing first hand the warm and loving environment in which these puppies get their first start in life is truly a blessing. Your daily pictures and video of my little boy playing with his sisters are so prescious. It makes me feel like I am experiencing his first few weeks right there with him and this means a lot to me. Your informational blogs you post has totally prepared me to know what to expect, from feeding him to what size and type of cage to buy and everything in between. And I know from our continuous conversations we will have even after I bring my little boy home you will so wisely guide me through any questions, concerns, or problem solving solutions I may have, and of course laughter and chuckles of each new adventurous puppy step my little boy makes. Sally, again I want to thank you for not being a puppy mill breeder but rather a loving and devoted puppy creator of perfection and love in which I saw shine and radiate from each and every one of your puppies. In all of my research, and I researched several, did I expect to find one like you. You are absolutely one of a kind, thank you very much.

  20. I think I mentioned this during one of our phone calls, but the support you’ve provided so far Sally, is the reason I’m choosing to go with you (and I don’t even have a puppy yet!) After all the questions I’ve asked, I feel COMFORTABLE that I’ll have support even after the puppy comes home with me. Being a first-time dog owner and talking with other breeders felt a little disparaging: there was little interest in me as a potential puppy parent and it seemed like my questions were annoying them. I’m really looking forward to pictures of my own little baby and stories of his/her antics :D -CD, Mapleton

  21. To all considering getting a baby from Sally: Sally is a Hobby Breeder, however, the word breeder does not describe what she does accurately. A better way to describe Sally and what she does is that she is a transparent breeder. She loves deeply and cares for all of her dogs and their babies like no other person I have ever met. Unlike the typical breeder, she give all of her dogs special attention a better way to describe Sally is that she is a transparent breeder. It's clear when you talk to her and visit her that all her dogs are happy, healthy, and more importantly, extremely well loved. She is not breeding for the sake of selling puppies. She does it to share the joy of the Maltese breed with all of us. Getting a baby from Sally is such a positive and rewarding experience and I encourage all of you who want to share the joy of being a Maltese parent to talk to Sally further. 22. RITZY is the most precious baby girl in the world! Sally had to work double hard bringing Ritzy to her departure time, due to the fact that she was a 'singleton' puppy (only ONE puppy in the litter). Without Sally's very special care Ritzy might not have made it. Because of her great love for ALL of her Maltese Angel Puppies, we believe we have our beautiful baby with us today. Ritzy is doing wonderful adjusting to her new home with us in Wyoming!
We are looking forward to many awesome years together! We are SO HAPPY!

  23. My husband and I are in our 70s and this is our very first baby puppy. We searched online trying to find the perfect puppy. We were very disappointed, there is no information on the puppies history! We found SALLY’s advertisements on line “Maltese Angel Baby’s”and immediately new this was the Perfect place to get our new puppy. We contacted Sally and talked with her and she also connected us with other Angel Baby parents while we were on the phone. Our excitement began that day and so did the amazing journey to get our Angel Baby. Sally her self is Awesome. This is our first time experience with a Breeder but it’s obvious Sally is so much more than a Breeder she is a Breeder of Excellence.the special traits she breeds for the HALO above the eyes and the FLATT BUTTON NOSE.the passion love and care she has for these babies shows in every way in the puppies them selves. They are Maltese Puppies of true Excellence....
Sally stayed in contact with us daily. The blog she set up is full of information to help new parents prepare for the baby, showing the Disney Pad and all the items needed to set it up and where to purchase all the items. On June 29th we met Sally and her husband Steve and our Angel Baby. Their home is beautiful, warm and sterile as well as the facility for the babies. We met stunning daddy Benji and beautiful mommy Heidi. We met all the puppies so precious and beautiful as well. We held our baby Aunde in a serene and joyful atmosphere “Joy Unspeakable ”. Sally stays in almost daily contact with us sending the most amazing pictures of our baby, as Aunde will be changing from day to day and we get to bond and be apart of it. We will know and understand our baby when we pick him up on July 27th. “Can’t wait excitement over load!” What Breeder does this? allowing parents to be a part of this from birth to 7 weeks? Sally gives the expecting parents the whole experience of an amazing journey! I would say to anyone wanting Excellence in a puppy you get this and so much more from an Excellent Breeder. Sally gives her best to her Angel Babies they lack for nothing, and that gives you the best ever Angel Baby.... thank you Sally for what you do and you are always only a phone call away.

  24. What a marvelous experience it was to visit my two-week-old baby Beaux in Sally and Steve's home. They were so welcoming and warm. I felt like I had known them for a long time. (Sally and I had talked on the phone many times before.) I was a little nervous about the visit, but they put me at ease quickly. Their home is lovely and clean and contains everything a maltese puppy or adult could need. The number of stuffed animals and toys is amazing! Each maltese has a wonderfully stimulating Disneyland taylored to his/her needs. The nursery for the mothers and babies is in a quiet, calm room that also has Sally's desk and computer so she can keep tabs on everything while she is working. I was able to hold my little Beaux in a fleece blanket. Sally and Steve did not rush me, but gave me a chance to enjoy my baby and get to know his mother, Rose, and his father, Brahms. I even was able to hold Rose while Beaux nursed! That was quite the mothering experience! Steve and Sally showed me the large area where all their maltese have their own Disneylands. It was a beautiful, clean facility in which to take care of all their needs. I just can't say enough about working with Sally and Steve as breeders. I have never experienced such a hands-on approach from before the birth of the babies up until (and after) I bring my baby home. This has been an exceptional experience so far, and I know that I have nothing but positive happenings ahead of me as I bring my baby home in about 4 weeks! I can't wait.

  27. Thank you so much for all the time you've taken with us to help us start the process of getting our new baby. We spent 2 hours on the phone with Sally and she's so kind and she just loves doing what she does and is just as excited for us as we are! She is so thorough in vetting her new parents to assure her babies have wonderful homes, which shows how much she cares about these little ones and what kind of life they'll have. We love that we'll have pictures and be able to get to know our baby right from the time he or she is born. So excited to get started on this new journey and to have all these precious memories with our baby to look forward to. I think this is the first morning I woke up and smiled instead of bursting into tears over the baby I lost. Thank you so much Sally! Dave and Lori Olympia, WA

  31. Dear Sally,

We have never experienced anything like this before. It will be amazing to start with the actual birth of our new little one, instead of not knowing what our new puppy has been through for the first 7 or 8 weeks of her life. We love that you will share pictures and videos of our Angel Baby for the first weeks of her life. You are truly an angel!

We thank you for providing such useful information and immersing us into the world of dog parents. 33. At first, I thought having to read all these blogs just an extra step - however, it has helped me to stop and think of everything and help me figure out what exactly I need to be ready for this new family member. I will now also make my teenage granddaughters read through many of these so they will feel more involved and better understand why they can't continuously hold and love on this new one. They will be better able to understand the needs of the puppy and not just what they want to do. Thanks so much for having me take the time to be a better informed new puppy mom. Judi - Reno, NV

  37. We are in the early stages of our process with Sally and are absolutely impressed with what we have experienced so far: she is extremely informative and knowledgable as well as prompt in her responses! But, what truly stands out is her love and excellent care she provides for the babies she raises. We could not be happier with the breeder selection we made and we have researched breeders for months - thank you Sally for being the kind of excellent, caring, and ethical breeder than you are, we appreciate it! We cannot wait to get our new puppy and are looking forward to your guidance in this exciting process!

This feels like more than an adoption process to me. I am getting the sense of entering into a loving community of Maltese parents. Thank you Sally for this wonderful experience. Kailee C. 40. How lucky are these babies to be born in Sally & Steve’s home! This has got to be the most magical birthing place ever. Plus, Sally is so attentive during the actual labor and delivery and gives the Mommies bits of cheese and nutrients as she consoles and soothes any anxiety they may be feeling, as classical music plays softly in the background. I wish Sally had been in the room during my own labor!! What a joy to see these photos - one of the newborn babies even has on a little birthing cap, too precious for words. We are in love!

Look at all the adorable, happy, contend faces of them sleeping in their nursery next to their mom. I can feel the love and tenderness. What a wonderful place to be when they first open their eyes. Sally and Steve put a lot of effort into their home creating a safe and happy place for all their children and the babies. They have raised the bar for other breeder to follow in their foot steps. 47. Watching him snuggle into the others, or hearing a little whimper here or there while I’m on the phone with Sally (who I talk with frequently!)…I’m already falling in love :) NOW I know exactly what the parents before me felt: the exuberance, excitement and pure joy! Eight weeks feels so far away! For now, I *can’t wait* until that two week point! Thrilled! This is my first puppy (or dog) since I was a kid and my life is already beginning to change in the most lovely, and unexpected ways. Thank you, Sally!

  48. Only yesterday, I reached out to Sally to inquire if I could be a potential parent to one of her puppies, and we've spoken on the phone for approximately 3 hours by now. She connected me with 2 families who got puppies from her, and they shared their fabulous experience with me. One family has a 6 month old puppy, and the other is waiting for their puppy who will be ready to go home in 7 weeks or so. She has emailed me the links to the two litters, and I've been looking at the 6 babies who have distinctive colored collars. So far, this has been the most thorough, highly communicative, high touch process. It's been amazing! Thank you. :)

  49. Sally is the best when it comes to communication and helping prospective parents know the process in becoming an Angel Baby parent and how to prepare for their baby to come home. I have talked to her several times on the phone and emailed lots. Just last night I found out that one of the precious babys that Rose will deliver next week will be mine. I feel humble, blessed, and so ecstatic! Sally arranged a conference call for me with another Angel Baby parent which was very helpful and supportive. I know that as a breeder, I can depend upon Sally for support from before the birth of the baby to well beyond the time I am able to bring my baby home.

  50. We appreciate the Quality of this Breeder for so many reasons. First, she makes sure each future parent understands not only the delightful fun and emotional highs of having a puppy but also the challenging times during the puppy’s weaning stage, chewing, potty training, and essential nutritional needs. Sally leads you to do some serious soul-searching to make sure you are absolutely committed to the lifetime care of this precious living being. We are taking this commitment very seriously. We are in the process of posting emergency procedures on our refrigerator about phone numbers of loving people in our lives who have made a commitment to take care our little Maltese in the event we’re ever in an emergency situation, such as hospitalization or injuries or serious illness (such as the current fear of coronavirus). We want to make sure that provisions have been made ahead of time and that a plan is in place for this little Maltese to have loving, caring people during its whole lifetime.
Thank you, Sally, for your thoroughness in guiding potential parents with this informative pre-training Blog. It's reassuring to know you'll be available after the adoption too. We are thrilled to be considered as owners of one of your Maltese.

  51. Sally,
I have met many breeders over the years, but you are the only one that not only told us what to expect, but let us talk to several of your prior clients who told us the same exact things. There was all positives about the puppies and especially the care and love you provide. It was unbelievable how the stories of how you kept parents updated with pictures, videos and funny things their pups do, is so special knowone I have dealt with would take that kind of time. The blogs you have set up shows how important it is for you to make sure your babies are cared for in the way that babies should be cared for. Making things so simple for us, even giving us links to certain toys, travel crates, detergent to use etc...
Without this help it can make things much harder. Thank you, we are happy that we are going to be considered as parents for one of your little ones!

  53. The transparency, availability, and accessibility of breeders is so important to me embarking on a journey to find a new puppy. If you're going to commit to decades of building a relationship with, caring for, sharing space with, and investing in a new puppy - you're doing yourself (and the breed) a huge favor in being a part of a community that values wellness, health, socialization and successful integration into new homes and lifestyles. I was impressed in how immediately I was able to reach Sally, how much time she spent on the phone with me, the interest she took in me and my home, and how thorough and empathetic she was in opening the door for me to confirm that we'd be a good potential match. I'm relieved to know that I have a knowledgable resource and a solid, values-driven community of pet owners to be a part of as an angel baby parent.

  64. I would highly recommend Sally and Angel Babies. You can tell she really cares about the dogs and takes very good care of them till they move to their new home.
The website she provided had great information like the “Disneyland” setup. Our baby home transitioned very easily to her new environment. She hasn’t whined/cried once while in her kennel.
Another great idea she suggested was; when using the pee pads, to cover it with a pillowcase was a great idea and very effective.
It’s nice to know you can reference back information on the website at any time.
For Sally to go to all the trouble to provide pictures of the babies after they are born was so thoughtful. It was so nice to feel apart of the process every step of the way.
Thank you for all you have done.

  66. I picked up my angel baby Ziggy end of July and was ecstatic to meet my little guy. I had to travel four hours after picking him up and he was amazing in the car ride home. Ziggy has adjusted well since day one! He immediately adapted to his new Disneyland (the best thing ever!), slept thru the night, and used his pee pad! Sally was a pleasure to work with through this process. She is extremely communicative, transparent, and was full of information on how to care for my new angel baby. I appreciated all the pictures after Ziggy was born and the information she sent before taking him home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Sally! 67. We picked up our precious little angel, Emerald, few days ago (September 2021) and words cannot really describe how amazing and well adjusted she is! Sally and Steve did a wonderful job in providing our baby with everything (and more) she needed during those crucial first few weeks of her life, and we cannot thank them enough. Our experience with Sally was really excellent: she truly is an honest, ethical, and highly transparent breeder who goes well beyond in her efforts to ensure you know your baby from the moment they are born (we had over 250 pictures and numerous videos allowing us to see how our puppy was progressing). For instance, she’s the kind of person who will give you a phone call just so you can hear your baby howling for the first time! All of our conversations with Sally and Steve were really open and transparent, and we were provided with excellent information and resources helping us become knowledgeable and confident puppy parents!

Emerald’s transition home has been really wonderful: she’s pee pee pad trained, sleeping thorough the night, eating without any difficulty, and she really is just the most darling little girl we could have hoped for!

Thank you Sally & Steve for enriching our lives and giving us our Emmy, she is loved beyond measure and we are forever grateful!

  68. From start to finish Sally and Steve are honest and transparent. I have yet to find a breeder who delivers what they say they will and does not try to hide things from you. You can expect excellent communication and references from her past puppy placements with there forever homes.

Sally's ways of doing things at first may appear as if she is being a bit controlling, but do not mistake that for caring. She WILL NOT give any puppies to a person/family that she does not deem fit to have one of her precious Angel Baby Maltese Puppies. SHE LOVES AND CARES about her puppies from conception, and she diligently loves and cares for the parents (dogs of the puppies). Trust is important to her and it goes both ways.

We were informed from the beginning what to do and how to prepare and build a Disneyland for our baby (I call it the Puppy Palace), lol. What to expect and how to care for our baby. We were so blessed and pleasantly surprised at how well adjusted and peaceful our baby was and is. She is crate trained (Disney), and does not whine to get out of bark. She is potty pad trained and eating beautifully.

Her transition was really seamless. She sleeps well and is on our schedule. She does not eat her poop or play in it as all of our other puppies did (whew)! Having Sally to call with any follow up questions, well she always answers and has great tips and advice. We have already placed a deposit for a second Angel Baby sister for our Lillian.

It was a pleasure start to finish to be a part of the Angel Baby Maltese family. We have had such terrible experiences with bad breeders, now we see the difference. Sally & Steve are dedicated to producing healthy, happy, loving well adjusted Puppies.

Thank you Steve & Sally; we appreciate you guys!

When we were looking for a Maltese puppy breeder, I wanted someone close in proximity, so we were so happy when we found Maltese Angel Babies. We called and a few months later we took our beautiful Angel baby home. During our first phone call, Sally explained their process step-by-step and by the end of our conversation we felt very comfortable and confident adopting a baby from them. We received pictures from the time the mama went into labor/delivery to the day we picked up our sweet little Maggie and brought her home. To have a puppy already sleeping all night, eating on her own, and potty trained was absolutely wonderful. The information they provided us about their DisneyLand was so helpful and we learned so much. The environment Steve and Sally provides for these babies is happy, clean, and chaotic-free. The whole process was an absolute wonderful experience and we would highly recommend getting a puppy from them. The price for these Angel Babies is worth it. It’s so obvious that these Angel Babies are well loved and their whole world and that was very important to us.

  71. We had a great experience working with Sally and Steve to get our beautiful Maltese angel baby. We looked for a breeder that wasn’t too far from where we live and who wasn’t over breeding and really cared for her dogs and puppies. We found Sally’s website and called to talked to her about a puppy. From the very beginning, Sally was upfront and honest about the process to secure a puppy from her and we felt very confident that the puppies were coming from a loving, caring home. We waited 6 months to get a little girl puppy, but we were ok with that. We couldn’t be more pleased with how it all worked out. After our puppy was born, we received over 200 photos and videos of our baby so we could see her in different stages of growth. We picked up our sweet tiny baby Georgia on February 12 and she is a healthy, adorable 12-1/2 week old puppy today. From the day we brought her home, we have not had one single problem with her staying all night in her crate. We don’t hear a peep from her until morning. We set up “Disneyland” just like Sally suggested and it is absolutely the best thing you can do for your puppy. We came home with several days worth of Sally’s puppy formula and we had no problem at all with Georgia not eating. We introduced her to the crunchy kibble right away and she adjusted to eating that fairly quickly. All the information in Sally’s blog is so helpful and it is something you should read and take advice from. Sally truly knows what she is doing and she spends a lot of time putting the information on her website. We highly recommend Maltese Angel Babies!

  72. Many, many thanks to Sally and Steve for my beautiful Maltese baby, Alfie! Everything about the process has been wonderful. Sally kept me informed, with pictures and emails, about each step from the birth to the day I picked him up to go home. Sally provides special care for each baby and mother in her home keeping them in immaculate conditions, so each baby has an ideal start to a healthy life. Sally was so helpful in providing answers to all my questions and preparing everything I needed to make a smooth transition to Alfie’s new home. Alfie is an important part of my family and, as with any baby, he depends on me to make sure his new home is safe, and he has the best of care. Having a new “baby” means taking on responsibilities like feeding, cleaning and safety when he goes to his new home. Sally helped me plan for my new baby both through her blog and in personal calls. She was always willing to help. I haven’t had to make major changes to my daily life thanks to Sally’s tips. Alfie eats well and sleeps through the night safe and sound in his “Disneyland” kennel.
If you are looking to add a beautiful Maltese baby to your family, I highly recommend that you contact Sally and Steve. Be prepared to have a short-term adjustment period (Alfie was happy in his Disneyland from day one and for me, I was fine on day two). Once everyone has settled in, your baby will love you unconditionally…WHAT AN AMAZING REWARD!

  74. My Angel Baby, Tigh is four and a half years now, I can't believe it! He's the best that's ever happened to me! He was my first dog ever, and out of my now THREE dogs, he's my best dog: the healthiest, the most balanced, the most beautiful. About nine months after I brought home Tigh, Sally set us up with a little girl, but she wasn't breed by Sally, she's not an official "Angel Baby", and you can tell, she's not as well breed...but I got her because I was becoming to dependent on Tigh and she was a wonderful fit and addition to our family and even though she's not as well breed, I absolutely adore her sweet little cray-cray lol. Then a couple years later, I brought home a GSD pup to grow up and guard both little babies because they are too precious and valuable (I'm not kidding, I know I'm obsessed) :P My little pack may be odd looking together, but each shines in their own way: my girl is the comic relief and is super drivey, great with hugs and super eager to learn!...my GSD, (perfectly balanced for his breed) is the protector and enforcer, as GSDs are. But Tigh...my original Angel Baby, Tigh...he's the foundation...he made it all possible...he's my heart. And Sally made Tigh possible. DO NOT hesitate to contact Sally for your own Angel Baby. Follow her recommendations, create the Disneyland and then enjoy a beautifully breed, healthy, gorgeous, Angel Baby to be your best friend and companion for life! You'll find yourself in awe of them multiple times daily!

I told Sally she may have to get into the protection dog business too because before I brought home the GSD, I hated going into public with the Maltese due to all the gushing and ooo-ing and ahh-ing over my two, and being approached by strangers asking all the same questions "what are they, how old, where did you get them, can I pet them?" I don't get as much of that when we're out with their 90 lb brother but you'd be shocked at how much it still happens. But just fair warning, your days of being able to walk down the street without having to interact with anyone else are over once you bring home your Angel Baby ;)

  75. The dearest and most endearing gift of beholding a Maltese Angel Baby was granted to my family and me last Friday by Sally (and Steve). Our puppy, Xiao, a cotton ball in form, has now become our formidable reason for joy. He is perfectly dogged in loyalty and a dash of mischief, exploring by mouth his new world with me in our first week remote from the first Disneyland designed by Sally for him and his litter mates. Because of Sally’s immeasurably pristine care and love for Xiao and all her Maltese pups and parents, I have rediscovered what I thought had been lost: curiosity and courage to love and be lived once again through the triumphs and troughs of a life so fleeting yet spectacular in every moment cherished, angelic as Sally’s blessed beloved.

  76. Posted by Sally for Alicia L who was unable to post it:

I found Maltese Angel Babies by doing a google search. I was immediately impressed by how much detailed information was on the site and I must confess that it gave me the confidence to move forward with the adoption process. Both Sally and Steve stayed in touch during the waiting period and answered all my questions. Once our baby was born we not only received a call from Sally they provided weekly photos of her progress. Sally and Steve welcomed us to their home when it was time to pick her up. We fell in love immediately and could not wait to get home. I followed Sally's instructions by setting up "Disneyland" and the transition was seamless. Piper sleeps through the night and is an energetic, healthy puppy. She is now 2 months and 1 week and we could not be more delighted. It has been a pleasure to work with Sally and Steve and I would give them 10 stars! Alicia L

  77. Angel babies - can we authentically expect this highest caliber of excellence and devotion from our breeder Sally with her husband, Steve? Shortly after this New Year, my quest for a maltese companion led me to a sense of homecoming in Sally’s haven blessing families and pilgrims from miles and mountains afar. Picking up my puppy Xiao proved merely to be the start of a lifelong commitment to hope for the unexpected and persevere through the challenges of puppy-parenting. Angel babies are not an illusion or fantasy but the prize of a long, less taken road: to trust and teach, give and be gifted, dare to recklessly love a fluffy friend, our children, this generation and the next. When in despair I called Sally last Sunday after my initial 2 weeks with Xiao, Sally mentored me and reminded me that a dog IS love with 4 legs. This Saturday though very busy with multitudes of priorities, she opened her doors to further coach me in caring and understanding my 9-week old darling. No wonder her maltese puppies are angels in our living rooms and kitchens, between our blankets and pillows, nurturing and healing the chambers of our souls - just as Sally has been an angel Mom for me and all her newborn parents. Thank you Sally and Steve - my family sleeps tonight with one of your angel babies because of your love, resilience and faithfulness. -Immanuel, Medford, OR
